God's Game Plan: Trusting Him with What's in Your Hand | Pastor Steven Roberts | Journey Church

Image
In this inspiring sermon, Children's Pastor Steven Roberts delves deeply into the powerful message of Moses' journey, emphasizing the importance of trusting God with what we already possess. Moses, a figure who faced immense challenges and self-doubt, serves as a profound example of how we can find strength and purpose even when we feel unqualified for the tasks at hand.

Faith That Stands in the Fire | Journey Church | Pastor James W Greer

Image
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did not develop their convictions when they were thrown into the fiery furnace; they had already made their decision years earlier about whom they would serve. When King Nebuchadnezzar commanded them to bow, their response demonstrated a mature faith: they believed that God was able to deliver them, but even if He did not, they would still serve Him.

When God's Grace Reaches Them | The Surprising Ending of Jonah | Ascend with Pastor Steve

Image
What happens when God shows mercy to someone you don't think deserves it?  Jonah chapter 4 presents one of the most challenging endings in Scripture. After Nineveh repents and receives God's mercy, Jonah becomes angry—not because God failed, but because God forgave. This message highlights the dangers of resentment, the struggle to extend grace to those who have hurt us, and how God desires to transform our hearts just as much as He transforms others.

Set Free, But Still Living Like a Prisoner? | Finding Your Identity in Christ | Ascend with Pastor Steve

Image
In this powerful message, we are reminded that freedom is more than just forgiveness; it represents a new identity in Christ. Through personal testimonies, biblical truths, and the story of Israel’s journey out of Egypt, we discover how the enemy often attacks our thoughts, convincing us to live as prisoners even after Christ has set us free. Though freedom was purchased by the blood of Jesus, we must learn to walk in that freedom every day.

12 Years of Struggle: Finding Authority and Healing in the Midst of Life's Storms

Image
From a Sermon by Pastor Richie Thornton The first thing I want you to see in this passage this morning is that this woman struggled with this issue of blood for 12 years. 12 years is a long time! The number 12 has a significant meaning in the Bible… The number 12 typically means perfection or authority, and often the number 12 is used in a context of government… For instance, we see the 12 disciples; the 12 tribes of Israel; 12 spies who went to scout the Promised Land… In Revelation we read about the New Jerusalem; we see the number 12 repeatedly: 12 gates, 12 angels, 12 foundations…all this points to perfection, ultimately coming under God’s authority and under God’s government.

Beyond Your Wildest Dreams: Embracing the Extraordinary Plans God Has for You

Image
From A Sermon by James W Greer Time to Dream | Why Don’t You Dream?   (Romans 8:31, NKJV; Romans 8:37, NKJV; Jeremiah 1:7-8, TEV) Your dreams may be troubled, but God’s dreams for you are paramount, and they are good (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV). God’s dreams for your life are far greater than your own. They are not just bigger; they are exceedingly, abundantly more than you can think, dream, or even imagine (Ephesians 3:20, NKJV). God is going before you, arranging all the necessary circumstances for your dreams to come to fruition (Isaiah 45:2-3, TEV). When God gives you a dream, He takes responsibility for opening the right doors and creating the right circumstances (Revelation 3:8, NKJV). All you need to do is your part and then allow God to do His (Hebrews 4:3, NKJV; Hebrews 6:17, NCV).

Even though we know that Sunday came and Jesus conquered death, many of us still live as if it’s Friday—caught in confusion, pain, and unanswered questions. But what if your current struggle isn’t a setback but rather a divine assignment?

The challenge is not in receiving power; it’s in learning how to walk in it.

The King They Didn’t Expect: Crowd Faith vs Committed Faith | Journey Church | Pastor James W Greer

Image
On Palm Sunday, the crowds shouted, "Hosanna! Save us now!" as Jesus rode into Jerusalem. They celebrated Him like a king, but only days later, many of those same voices cried, "Crucify Him." Why did this happen? Because Jesus wasn’t the king they expected.

From Fire to Fear to Faith: How Jesus Restores Your Connection | Journey Church | Pastor Darrell Ingram

Image
Have you ever been on fire for God in one season… and felt distant the next?  This powerful and honest message delves into the realities of spiritual connection, disconnection, and reconnection. Through the life of Peter, we witness how someone can boldly declare Jesus as the Messiah one moment, and then struggle with fear and doubt the next. Peter walked on water, followed Jesus courageously, and expressed his love for Him openly. Yet, under pressure, fear took hold, leading Peter to deny Jesus three times. Although his love for Jesus never vanished, fear ultimately overshadowed his faith.

When God Feels Silent: Staying Connected Through the Storm | Pastor Steve Roberts | The Daily Ascend

Image
What do you do when you’re still connected to God—but life still hurts?  In this message, Pastor Steven tackles one of the hardest questions in the Christian life: why storms still come even when we are faithful. Using the powerful illustration of a seatbelt after a car crash, he reminds us that connection to God doesn’t promise a life without pain—it promises protection within it.

The Missing Piece: How Connection to Christ Changes Everything | Journey Church | Pastor James W Greer

Image
Have you ever felt like something was missing, but you couldn’t quite put your finger on it? In this powerful message, we explore the “mystery of the missing part.” Just like a puzzle with one piece removed, life doesn’t function correctly when something essential is disconnected.  Jesus declares in John 15:5 that He is the vine and we are the branches. When we stay connected to Him, we bear fruit; when we disconnect, dysfunction follows. This sermon reveals a life-changing truth: most problems aren’t about the fruit; they are about the roots. And root problems stem from connection issues.

Samson: Connected by Promise, Compromised by Desire, Restored by Prayer | Journey Church | Pastor Steve Roberts

Image
In Part Two of Connect and Protect, we walk through the life of Samson to uncover a powerful spiritual pattern: connection, compromise, and restoration. Samson didn’t begin with failure—he began with promise. Before he had strength, he had a covenant. Before he fought battles, his parents built a foundation of obedience, prayer, and reverence. His life shows us that protection begins with connection. But Samson’s downfall didn’t happen overnight. It came step by step—through unchecked desire, small compromises, blurred boundaries, and repeated disobedience. What once convicted him became comfortable. What once protected him became optional. Eventually, he didn’t even realize when the presence of God had lifted.

You Don’t Heal by Hiding: Why Connection Is Your Protection | Journey Church | Pastor Darrell Ingram

Image
In this moving message from the Connect and Protect series, we reflect on the truth that our most challenging moments may not stem from stepping away from God, but rather from withdrawing from the relationships that are meant to support and uplift us.

Connect and Protect: Why Every Believer Needs the Flock | Journey Church | Pastor James W Greer

Image
In this powerful message, we begin a new series focused on the biblical call to connect and protect. In a culture where digital relationships are replacing real ones and isolation is becoming commonplace, God reminds us that His design for protection and growth happens within the community of believers.

Unleashing Blessings Through Surrender: A Divine Pathway to Abundance | Pastor Steve Roberts | The Daily Ascend

Image
By Steven Roberts In this message, based on 2 Kings 4:1–7, we examine the significant narrative of the widow and her jar of oil. This story provides insights into themes of faith, obedience, and the importance of creating space for divine intervention. It highlights the principle that God can multiply what we offer to Him; He fills what we make room for in our lives. Importantly, God's provision is limitless, while our capacity to receive can often feel constrained. For those who feel emptied, overwhelmed, or are seeking a breakthrough, this message serves as encouragement to present your “empty jar” to God and have faith in His ability to fill it.
