God's Game Plan: Trusting Him with What's in Your Hand | Pastor Steven Roberts | Journey Church

In this inspiring sermon, Children's Pastor Steven Roberts delves deeply into the powerful message of Moses' journey, emphasizing the importance of trusting God with what we already possess. Moses, a figure who faced immense challenges and self-doubt, serves as a profound example of how we can find strength and purpose even when we feel unqualified for the tasks at hand.

Pastor Steven shares personal stories from his own life, illustrating how God has equipped him for his calling despite moments of feeling unprepared or inadequate. These anecdotes not only make the sermon relatable but also serve as a reminder that God often calls us to step out in faith, using the very skills and resources we already possess.

With skillful storytelling, Pastor Steven invites the congregation to consider their own lives and the unique gifts God has given them. He encourages everyone to reflect on what they may be holding in their hands—be it talents, resources, or experiences—and how these can be transformed into tools for miraculous outcomes when entrusted to God.

Central to the sermon is a call to silence the voice of doubt, which often whispers that we are not enough or that we lack the means to make a difference. Pastor Steven reminds us that God’s presence is a powerful force in our lives, guiding and empowering us as we navigate our journeys.

Through engaging illustrations and practical applications, he elaborates on the concept of embracing God’s presence as a constant source of encouragement. He explains how cultivating a relationship with God helps us to understand the divine game plan He has for each of us, urging the congregation to seek clarity on their path and purpose.

As the sermon unfolds, Pastor Steven shares testimonies of individuals within the church community who have experienced miraculous transformations by stepping out in faith with what they already had. These stories serve as inspiring reminders that miracles are not solely the result of extraordinary circumstances but can emerge from trusting God with everyday resources.

Pastor Steven encourages everyone to join him for this transformative message, emphasizing that God can work wonders through what’s in your hand. He invites each person to take a step of faith, trusting that God can multiply their efforts and turn their ordinary into extraordinary. This sermon is not just a call to action but an invitation to embrace the abundant possibilities that lie ahead when we align our hearts with God’s purpose.

Photos and Story by Ken Hulsey  Many travelers who drive out of Los Angeles and Orange County through the Inland Empire and Cajon Pass to all points east, including Las Vegas, on Interstate 15 don't realize that there are several miles of the old Route 66 that still exist a mere hundred or so yards away.  The old highway that once served as the only road through the pass is now only taken by motorists who want to try and avoid traffic congestion due to accidents or weekend travelers trying to get to Sin City or other desert recreation areas.

Beyond the Showdowns: The Untold Truth About Gunfights in the Old West | Ken Hulsey

Image
The gunfight is a staple of every Western television show, movie, and pulp novel. If you watched classic TV series like The Rifleman, Gunsmoke, and Wagon Train, you know it was the climactic scene in nearly every episode. The narratives of these popular shows and films, featuring legends such as John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, and Clint Eastwood, portray the Old West as being filled with hired guns, trigger-happy outlaws seeking revenge, and fighters looking for a brawl. It creates tension, doesn't it? Picture a showdown in a deserted street, guns blazing as two men face off in a winner-takes-all battle to the death. The fastest draw usually emerges victorious, that being most often the town marshal or the good-looking hero of the story.
