Prayers

 To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord And Savior:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name. Amen.

Scripture Reference:

Romans 10:9-10 ESV 

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

A Prayer For Addiction:

Heavenly Father, I come before You with a humble heart, fully aware of the battles I face with addiction. I lay these burdens at Your feet, knowing that You have the power to break every chain that binds me to harmful substances. Lord, I ask that You strengthen my resolve, guiding my steps away from temptation and darkness. 

Fill me with Your Spirit, Lord, granting me clarity of mind and endurance of heart. Surround me with Your love, replacing each craving with the comfort of Your presence. I seek restoration for my health, my relationships, and the sense of purpose that has been clouded by my struggles. 

In this journey toward healing, let Your unwavering love empower me to walk in true liberty, trusting in Your strength to sustain me each and every day. I believe that you are with me in this fight, lifting me up and guiding me toward a brighter future. Amen.

Lifestyle changes had to be made, or I was going to end up in a very bad way. I started watching what I ate, began exercising, and started taking a handful of medications every morning.  Photos & Story by Ken Hulsey It’s fitting that a restaurant housed in an old train station would boast the finest collection of vintage railroad cabooses in Southern California. Located just off the Sierra Highway (California Highway 14) in Acton, Vincent Hill Station is a fine dining establishment that features live music and dancing. Interestingly, my main reason for stopping off the desert highway was not the food, but rather the impressive collection of cabooses visible from the road.

I, like many science fiction fans, developed my lifelong love for the genre by watching "Star Trek." I didn’t discover the series on my own; I was encouraged to watch it by my older cousin, Rick, who was an avid fan. The first episode I ever saw was "Arena," which featured Captain Kirk facing off against the lizard-like captain of the Gorn species in a fight to the death, orchestrated by an unseen alien race. As a young boy fascinated by dinosaurs, the reptilian Gorn initially captured my attention. However, it was the intelligent and well-crafted story that kept me coming back for more episodes. My youthful spirit of adventure, combined with a desire to explore beyond the confines of my backyard, made the series' exploration-driven storylines and charismatic characters a perfect match for me. While shows like Astro Boy , Kimba , Gigantor , Mazinger , and Gundam had amassed devoted young followings, Macross transcended age, class, and gender barriers in a way no anime had before it. Songs from the series, sung by voice actress Mari Iijima as the character Lynn Minmay , were climbing the charts one after another. In fact, Lynn Minmay had become as much of a pop culture phenomenon in Japan as Madonna was in America, despite being a fictional character.
