Feeling Lost? Discover How to Protect Your Peace and Embrace Your Next Adventure! | Random Ramblings

I once read that the only person you should compete with is yourself—striving to be better and do better every day. This idea took some reflection because "competition" is a strong word and can stir up negative emotions.

Instead, I believe that aiming to improve and make the most of our blessings should simply be our goal. If you don’t feel blessed, you might need help changing your perspective!

This week has been particularly challenging, the kind that catches you off guard. A beautiful soul sent me a story about friendship, connection, and the importance of reaching out. It’s essential to check in on others, let them know you care, and be willing to slow down—even for just eight minutes—to listen. That’s really all it takes to make a difference and show someone they are valued.

Learning to be still and quiet—especially when I want to scream, stomp my foot, or throw things—has been my biggest achievement as an adult. I’m pretty sure I’m powered by prayer and caffeine!

The world moves quickly and doesn’t stop for a broken heart. So, gather the moments and people that make you smile and warm you from the inside out—like pure sunshine. You’ll need them on the darker days. Be someone’s sunshine.

You need to remember that you are loved. You are someone’s reason to smile. You are enough!

This big world moves fast, and we all have to keep up, but here’s the key: move forward. Yes, forward motion! It’s hard to see clearly when you’re looking back, and U-turns can be dangerous. You can’t change what’s behind you, and chances are, if you dropped something along the way, you probably didn’t need it anyway.

Your next adventure lies ahead of you.

“Protect your peace” is a phrase we hear a lot these days, but did you know that the blueprint for achieving that looks different for everyone? What may seem like selfishness or rudeness to one person could be the very thing keeping someone else afloat. So, be kind. Be gracious. Be understanding.
