Pastor Steven Roberts - Journey Church - Assemble | You Have A Calling

You have a calling. Everyone is important and has a purpose. When God calls us, we must answer correctly. He will equip us with what we need to use our gifts. No one person is more than the other. God is still calling and using gifts. We only need to answer the call.

You Have A Calling

Everyone is important. (1 Corinthians 12:15-22, NKJV)

Every person is just as important, whether you are seen out front or behind the scenes, God knows.

Everyone has a calling. (Isaiah 6:8, NKJV)

“Here am I, send me!” will be your response when you are right with God and cleaned from sins. Sins, worry, too many pleasures, and the wrong use of riches will cause is not to hear from God. (Psalm 66:18, NLT2; Luke 8:7, NIV) When we learn and use our spiritual gift or gifts, God gives us the special endowments of supernatural energy. (1 Corinthians 12:1, AMP) This is not a work you do for the church, it’s a wonder you experience.

Gifts God uses today: (1 Corinthians 1:22, NKJV; 1 Peter 4:10-11, CEV; Romans 12:6-8, NKJV; 1 Corinthians 13:8, NKJV)

Speaking Gifts – words of wisdom, prophecy, evangelism, pastor-teacher, and teaching.
Service Gifts – administration, exhortation, faith, giving, help, serving, and mercy.
Sign Gifts – distinguishing of spirits, miracles, and healings.

Blessings

Blessings: We often forget that everything in life, including life itself, is a blessing from God. As a man of faith I thank God during my daily prayer for all those blessings He has bestowed upon myself and my family. If you ever want to know just how blessed you really are? Just take a few moments to look around you. There are many people who are having a much harder time getting through their daily life than you are. Take time to pray for those people. Even though it may not seem like it to the casual observer, The Lord is taking care of them as well. We live in a world full of distractions. From cell phones to television our daily lives are filled with things that take our minds off our problems as well as God. I urge you to take the time to look around you. There is a beautiful world out there. Instead of watching another cute cat video, watch some children playing, look at a sunset or if you have the means take a walk in the woods. The miracle of God's creation is all around you and is a much more wonderful show than anything on the television or internet. Take every opportunity to disconnect from technology and grow closer to God through enjoyment of his wonders.
