Two Must See Sermons - Pastor Steve Smothermon from Legacy Church in Albuquerque, NM


 This week the Lord lead me to discover a sermon by pastor Steve Smothermon of Legacy Church in Albuquerque. I really feel that his message about how the spirit of the antichrist is spreading through society is something everyone needs to hear. 

As the pastor says: "when you take the word of God out, absurd ideas fill the void." (I'm paraphrasing)

 

 Understanding the difference between the antichrist and the spirit of the antichrist is crucial. We are either being influenced by the Spirit of God or the spirit of the antichrist.

 

 Society calls out for equality. (sameness, likeness, uniformity; everybody is the same) But the BIBLE calls for equity! (impartiality, justice, legal fairness)

Charlie Kirk Talks About The Future Of America

 I spent a good portion of Wednesday listening to Charlie Kirk's four part sermon/lecture at Legacy Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In each episode Kirk talked in depth about his relationship with Jesus and how the modern church needs to shake off the 'separation of church and state' moniker and get involved in our political system.  Kirk used a wonderful combination of science, history and scripture to make the point that the church needs to stop being quiet if this nation is to change it's present political and social course.   Granted, since Kirk's presentation took place in New Mexico, he did spend some time focusing on politics in the state. Our Walmart Life - Trippin in the Air Freshener Aisle

 Written by Ken Hulsey Over the past several months, I've begun to realize that our local Walmart has become a true second home to my wife and me. Hardly a day goes by when I don't find myself popping in to pick up something. In fact, I often find myself popping into Walmart for reasons other than shopping. With the heat and humidity so extreme here in the South, I have actually gone to Walmart to take a walk for some exercise. There I am walking around the store in a pattern, passing the pharmacy, then the hardware department, then electronics. You get the idea. Anyone who may have observed my actions might have thought I was out of my mind, but as anyone who has ever set foot in a Walmart knows, my behavior was not the craziest thing going on in that store at the time.
