It’s Time to Get Up

Acts 12:6-11 

 Emotional Monsters | Two Chains 

 Fear – Says you cannot go where you are supposed to go; you cannot do what you need to do. 

 Doubt – will God help me; is God for me; am I good enough? 

 Shake off the chains of fear and doubt. (2 Timothy 1:7 )

Emotional Monsters of discouragement and intimidation can not hold you down. The enemy wants to stop you and keep you from being free. Confront your fear, overcome your doubt, and break free from them. Emotional Monsters of closed gates, the enemy will use to hold you back from the purpose, the plan, and the dream that God has for your life.

 Emotional Monsters will break

 Emotional monsters will break when the Light shines; the Light of the Gospel will bring Victory. Emotional monsters will break when we get up! Encourage yourself in the Lord. Walk by faith not by sight. Humble yourself before the mighty hand of God, resist the devil and he will flee. Vincent Hill Station's Wonderful Caboose Collection - Acton, California

Located just off the Sierra Highway (California Highway 14) in Acton, Vincent Hill Station is a fine dining establishment that features live music and dancing. Interestingly, my main reason for stopping off the desert highway was not the food, but rather the impressive collection of cabooses visible from the road.

I, like many science fiction fans, developed my lifelong love for the genre by watching "Star Trek." I didn’t discover the series on my own; I was encouraged to watch it by my older cousin, Rick, who was an avid fan. The first episode I ever saw was "Arena," which featured Captain Kirk facing off against the lizard-like captain of the Gorn species in a fight to the death, orchestrated by an unseen alien race. As a young boy fascinated by dinosaurs, the reptilian Gorn initially captured my attention. However, it was the intelligent and well-crafted story that kept me coming back for more episodes. My youthful spirit of adventure, combined with a desire to explore beyond the confines of my backyard, made the series' exploration-driven storylines and charismatic characters a perfect match for me.
