 Trust, desire, and rest are three powerful concepts that can significantly impact our lives when approached with the right mindset and perspective. 

When it comes to trust, it's natural to want to place our faith in those around us, relying on their strength and support. However, as much as we care for others, the reality is that humans are fallible and will inevitably let us down at times, even with the best intentions. That’s why the Bible wisely advises us to place our ultimate trust in God, who is steadfast, reliable, and never disappoints us. By anchoring our trust in the Lord, we can navigate life's storms with greater resilience and peace of mind.

Similarly, when it comes to our desires and aspirations, dreaming big and working diligently towards our goals is admirable and can bring immense satisfaction. However, we must be careful not to become so consumed by these pursuits that we lose sight of what truly matters—our faith and connection with God. When we become overly dependent on external outcomes, we risk losing our inner peace and joy. Thus, while it’s important to put in the effort, let's remember to keep things in perspective and lean on God's guidance and strength along the way.

Finally, in a fast-paced world that can leave us feeling drained and overwhelmed, the concept of rest takes on a deeper meaning. Beyond just leisure and relaxation—which are certainly important—true rest is about finding peace and fulfillment in completing the work God has called us to do. Just as God rested after creating the heavens and the earth, we too can experience a profound sense of rest when we obey His will and purposes for our lives. It may not always be easy, and it may require perseverance, but the rewards of living in alignment with God's plan are immeasurable.

Let us strive to trust in the Lord, pursue our desires with a balanced perspective, and find true rest as we fulfill our God-given callings. Remember, you are never alone on this journey—God is always with you, cheering you on with love and compassion.

Charlie Kirk Talks About The Future Of America

 I spent a good portion of Wednesday listening to Charlie Kirk's four part sermon/lecture at Legacy Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In each episode Kirk talked in depth about his relationship with Jesus and how the modern church needs to shake off the 'separation of church and state' moniker and get involved in our political system.  Kirk used a wonderful combination of science, history and scripture to make the point that the church needs to stop being quiet if this nation is to change it's present political and social course.   Granted, since Kirk's presentation took place in New Mexico, he did spend some time focusing on politics in the state.
