Eva Vlaardingerbroek - Reject Globalism: Embrace God

Eva Vlaardingerbroek's address at the Brussels National Conservatism Conference on March 23, 2022.

Eva Vlaardingerbroek studied law at Utrecht University and at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. After graduating with a bachelor's degree, she began studying for a master's degree in philosophy of law at Leiden University. She graduated her masters with honors.

What is Transhumanism?

Transhumanism is a philosophical and intellectual movement which advocates for the enhancement of the human condition by developing and making widely available sophisticated technologies that can greatly enhance longevity and cognition. It also predicts the inevitability of such technologies in the future.

Transhumanist thinkers study the potential benefits and dangers of emerging technologies that could overcome fundamental human limitations as well as the ethics of using such technologies. Some transhumanists believe that human beings may eventually be able to transform themselves into beings with abilities so greatly expanded from the current condition as to merit the label of posthuman beings.

What is Neuralink?

"Neuralink" is a start-up created by Elon Musk in 2016. The company’s main aim is brain implants development by means of electronic chips that are inserted into the brain and equipped with a form of artificial intelligence. This kind of technology focuses on helping persons with disabilities, for example, to communicate or to move. At first glance, "Neuralink" does not seem to present any particular ethical difficulties. Helping persons with disabilities respects the principle of beneficence, in other words, it acts or has qualities of mercy, kindness, generosity, charity, altruism, love, humanity, and promoting the good of others. But Elon Musk clarified his goal: "Over time I think we will probably see a closer merger of biological intelligence and digital intelligence" (World Government Summit in Dubai). And he continued: "Some high bandwidth interface to the brain will be something that helps achieve a symbiosis between human and machine intelligence.” In 2020, Musk indicated that "you could upload, you could basically store your memories as a backup and restore the memories, then ultimately you could potentially download them into a new body or into a robot body".

If you are wondering how these new technologies may be linked to the Antichrist in the book of Revelation check this out!

An AI god will emerge by 2042 and write its own bible. Will you worship it?

From Venture Beat

In the next 25 years, AI will evolve to the point where it will know more on an intellectual level than any human. In the next 50 or 100 years, an AI might know more than the entire population of the planet put together. At that point, there are serious questions to ask about whether this AI — which could design and program additional AI programs all on its own, read data from an almost infinite number of data sources, and control almost every connected device on the planet — will somehow rise in status to become more like a god, something that can write its own bible and draw humans to worship it.

Recently, reports surfaced that a controversy-plagued engineer who once worked at Uber has started a new religion. Anthony Levandowski filed paperwork for a nonprofit religious organization called The Way of the Future. Its mission: “To develop and promote the realization of a Godhead based on artificial intelligence and through understanding and worship of the Godhead contribute to the betterment of society.”

One of the experts is Vince Lynch, who started a company called IV.AI that builds custom AI for the enterprise. Lynch explained how there are some similarities between organized religion and how an AI actually works. In the Bible used by Christians, for example, Lynch says there are many recurring themes, imagery, and metaphors.

Okay ... now this is the scary part!

Indeed, Lynch even shared a simple AI model to make his point. If you type in multiple verses from the Christian Bible, you can have the AI write a new verse that seems eerily similar. Here’s one an AI wrote: “And let thy companies deliver thee; but will with mine own arm save them: even unto this land, from the kingdom of heaven.” An AI that is all-powerful in the next 25-50 years could decide to write a similar AI bible for humans to follow, one that matches its own collective intelligence. It might tell you what to do each day, or where to travel, or how to live your life.

Robbee Minicola, who runs a digital agency and an AI services company in Seattle, agreed that an all-knowing AI could appear to be worthy of worship, especially since the AI has some correlations to how organized religion works today. The AI would understand how the world works at a higher level than humans, and humans would trust that this AI would provide the information we need for our daily lives. It would parse this information for us and enlighten us in ways that might seem familiar to anyone who practices religion, such as Christianity.

If you add two and two together it is easy to see how Satan could use technology to create the Antichrist. Only God knows at this point if this is how the prophesy outlined in the book of Revelation will actually pan out or not. It is, however, a scary vision of where technology is heading. Christians need to be alert to such technology and begin to preach the word of God more boldly. The end times are indeed upon us!

A sharp decline in Americans reading the Bible may be connected to drop in church attendance

 From Christianity Today

When researchers for the American Bible Society’s annual State of the Bible report saw this year’s survey statistics, they found it hard to believe the results. The data said roughly 26 million people had mostly or completely stopped reading the Bible in the last year.

“We reviewed our calculations. We double-checked our math and ran the numbers again … and again,” John Plake, lead researcher for the American Bible Society, wrote in the 2022 report. “What we discovered was startling, disheartening, and disruptive.”

In 2021, about 50 percent of Americans said they read the Bible on their own at least three or four times per year. That percentage had stayed more or less steady since 2011.

But in 2022, it dropped 11 points. Now only 39 percent say they read the Bible multiple times per year or more. It is the steepest, sharpest decline on record.

According to the 12th annual State of the Bible report, it wasn’t just the occasional Scripture readers who didn’t pick up their Bibles as much in 2022 either. More than 13 million of the most engaged Bible readers—measured by frequency, feelings of connection to God, and impact on day-to-day decisions—said they read God’s Word less.

Just A Thought From Pastor Steve Smothermon: With All Your Heart

The Bible teaches us to trust in the Lord with all of our hearts, and lean not on our own understanding.

Highest relationship:

So, what does it mean to trust God, to trust someone else? Trust is the highest relationship with others. It means to have confidence in, to be secure, to feel safe. It means you believe what they tell you.

Worldly trust:

In our society, it is hard to fully trust anyone or anything. Marketers are trying to get us to trust in their products. Politicians are trying to get us to trust them enough to vote for them. Spouses want to be trusted.

Biblical trust:

The Bible teaches us not to trust in man. Why? People will disappoint you; they will let you down. But God will never disappoint or let you down.

Jeremiah 17:5 — This is what the Lord says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord.” So, we are not to put our trust in people, but in God. Now we do trust people. We have to at times. Trust people will keep their word, do what they say. But we shouldn’t put our trust in them to the point we lose our faith and our trust in God. That’s what happens to so many. Someone will let them down, and then they get mad at God. That’s what the Bible is teaching. Yes, if people have proven themselves trustworthy, great. But eventually people will let you down, even when they don’t mean to.

God is trustworthy. Let’s begin to believe everything He says, and learn to trust Him totally.

Just a thought,

PSS

Are Christians Allowed to Be Sexy?

 From Christianity Today

Even as Christian women, with our worth rooted in Christ, we still struggle with beauty to some extent. I see it in my mirror, and I see it when I walk into churches, when I talk to youth groups, and when I scroll through online feeds of sexy selfies. We've probably found ourselves leaning to either extreme; sometimes, we fear our beauty, and other times, we feel like we'll never measure up.

"Be careful" was the first message I heard from the church about beauty. Being careful meant dressing modestly and hearing constant reminders of the sexual nature of the male mind. I didn't particularly understand the appeal of following rules, and I enjoyed attention, so I threw off the modesty rules and dressed in a way that caused men to notice me.

Even though I grew up in church, I didn't truly believe in Jesus until college. After my decision to follow him, my mind soon thought about what meant for my wardrobe, ridiculous as that may sound. I had read Every Man's Battle, a book about men's obsessive sexual thoughts, and it left me with a great deal of fear and a disconcerting desire for a new wardrobe.

I was told that being a Christian woman meant protecting men's minds by the way that I dressed. That's what Jesus wanted. So I lugged a trash bag full of short skirts, dresses, cropped shirts, and tube tops out to the dumpster—determined to dress modestly and respect my body as a temple of the Holy Spirit.

Take up your cross and follow, right?

I replaced my midriff baring shirts with hoodies. I moved to China to share the gospel, where I stopped wearing makeup and didn't care much about my style. But like many Christian women, I found that dressing modestly wasn't ...

James W Greer - Journey Church - Resurrection Road | Mercies and Miracles

This Easter, Jesus wants to give mercies and miracles to us. Easter is not just about the bunny, eggs, and fun, but it's a time to celebrate Jesus's sacrifice on the cross and His promises. Jesus desires to give us what we need. The Word is full of the promises of God. We should seek to know Him more and receive more grace and peace. There is power in the promises of God. Keep the faith and do what you have been called to do.

Jesus wants to give mercy and miracles this Easter. (Matthew 28:1, TLB)

Jesus had cast 7 demons from Mary Magdalene, He had already shown her mercy and miracles. Jesus not only showed her mercy by not giving her what she deserved, but He also gave her unearned kindness and performed the miracle of casting out the 7 demons. (Mark 16:9, NKJV) Jesus wants to give you a new day and a new beginning.

Jesus wants to give you what you need, not what you want. (Matthew 28:6, TLB)

You may have Jesus as your fire insurance or death insurance, but not your life insurance. Surrender to God and enjoy the abundant life He has promised you. (John 10:10, NKJV; 1 Peter 5:7, TLB)

Learn to enjoy and celebrate what Jesus says. (Matthew 28:6, TLB)

We have God’s Word called the Bible which is full of His promises. The angels told both Marys to come to see where Jesus’ body was lying; today God is telling you to claim His promise and see your life change and His Word come true. The more you know God, the more grace and peace you have. (2 Peter 1:2-4, NKJV) The same power that raised Jesus from the grave is found in God’s precious promises.

Doing God’s will can bring joy and fear. (Matthew 28:7-10, TLB)

If you don’t override the fear, you will never be filled with the joy that’s greater than any fear. Learn to love what you do and serve others while you’re doing it. (1 Corinthians 10:31, NKJV) The fears you overcome and doing what God has called you to do will bring joy that can’t be explained.

Jesus will meet you where you are at. (Matthew 28:9-10, TLB)

Jesus is always in front and has already worked things out for your good. When you by faith begin to do what Jesus calls us to do, He not only goes before you, He meets you along the way. When you are doing what Jesus asks, you will never have anything to fear.

Jesus is waiting to meet you where you’re at.

Stand Firm on the Word

"When most people hear the word idolatry, they think of pagans worshiping statues and assume, "That's one subject that can't apply to me." Oh, yes it can.

You don't have to keep a carved, wooden tiki idol in your backyard to be an idolater. You don't have to visit a Buddhist shrine. Any time you worship the thing God created as a god, that's idolatry.

We can get so caught up in the things of this world - jobs, money, people, material things - that we forget our purpose here on earth. We should live in the world but not of the world. Spend some time analyzing your walk with the Lord. Are there things that you are placing above your relationship with God? Ask Him to reveal things in your life that are being placed above God." - Tony Evans

1 John 2:15-17

15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

Out of his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you the mighty inner strengthening of his Holy Spirit.
—Ephesians 3:16 (TLB)

"Horace Pitkin, the son of a wealthy merchant, was converted and went to China as a missionary. He wrote to his friends in America, saying, “It will be but a short time till we know definitely whether we can serve Him better above or here.” Shortly afterward, a mob stormed the gate of the compound where Pitkin defended the women and children. He was beheaded and his head was offered at the shrine of a heathen god, while his body was thrown into a pit with the bodies of nine Chinese Christians.

Sherwood Eddy, writing about him, said, “Pitkin won more men by his death than he ever could have won by his life.” Christ needs people today who are made of martyr stuff! Dare to take a strong, uncompromising stand for Him." - Billy Graham

Pastor James W Greer - Journey Church - Resurrection Road: Power Under Pressure

The Secret Christians. (Matthew 27:57-66, NKJV; John 19:38, NKJV)

Joseph of Arimathea was a secret disciple of Jesus. There will come a time when you will have to make a choice who you will follow, Jesus or the world. Joseph, the secret disciple of Jesus, was showing more courage than any of the other disciples. There will come a time in your life when you will have to have the courage to confess Jesus before men. (Matthew 10:32-33, NKJV; Philippians 2:9-11, NKJV)

Jesus was simply borrowing Joseph’s tomb. (Matthew 27:59-61, NKJV)

There were very few people left at the tomb with Jesus. Jesus had already lived a sinless life and made a great impact. Make a difference while you are alive, good works will then follow you to Heaven. (Revelation 14:13, NKJV)

Anything that you do to help get people saved will be rewarded.

Many Christians spend their lives trying to be good, but not doing good.

For the Christian, it matters what you do before the funeral.

You can’t keep a good man down. (Matthew 27:62-64, NKJV)

They did not believe Him but still feared Him. The problem was not the deception but the truth; it’s the truth that will set you free. There is big difference between deception and perception.

Deception – misleading, intentionally misleading, falsehood. (Revelation 12:9, NKJV; John 8:44, NKJV)Perception – knowledge gained, becoming aware of. (John 8:32, NKJV)

When you are trying to find security in anything but Christ you will always be insecure.

(2 Peter 1:3-4, NIV)

Biblical security can be found in knowing who you are and Who’s you are. Security and worth come from the inside out, not outside in. Security and worth does not come from what you have, how you dress, where you live what your I.Q. is, but who you are in Christ.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

The Real Meaning of Easter

Jesus had come into town for the Passover celebration and was nearing the time when he would be betrayed by one of his disciples, publicly humiliated and mocked, beaten beyond recognition, and hung on a cross to die. It was the night before his suffering when he made his special request for his followers to remember that He gave his body for them and poured out his blood as a sacrifice for them.
The best way to understand the real meaning of Easter would be from Jesus, in His three words ... the new covenant.

In Luke 22 we get a picture of the night before his death:

When the time came, Jesus and the apostles sat down together at the table. Jesus said, "I have been very eager to eat this Passover meal with you before my suffering begins. For I tell you now that I won't eat this meal again until its meaning is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God." Then he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. Then he said, "Take this and share it among yourselves. For I will not drink wine again until the Kingdom of God has come." He took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, "This is my body, which is given for you. Do this to remember me." After supper he took another cup of wine and said, "This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you." Luke 22:14-20

To put this new covenant in context we must look at history. Long before Jesus was born, God made other covenants with His people (the Israelites) - some to multiply them, some to bless them, and some to give them land. All along the way, God required believers to recognize their sinful nature, confess their sins, ask for forgiveness for their sins, and offer specific animals to the priests as sacrifices for their sins. Their religious observance of Passover included sacrificing unblemished lambs, just as the Israelites had done when they painted their doorposts with the lambs' blood the actual night of Passover - when Moses led God's people out of Egypt (see Exodus 12:11-13).

The sacrificial lamb was a significant part of sparing the lives of the Isrealites on Passover as well as in future remembrances of the event. God gave Moses and Aaron specific instructions on how to honor God with annual Passover celebrations. Lamb was the pinnacle of the Passover meal (and still is). The lambs were to be without blemish and even lived with the families for several days before they were sacrificed, adding to the understanding that the ultimate sacrifice was close to the hearts of those whose sins were atoned for.

Easter and Passover have a special relationship for many reasons. Jesus became the "lamb without blemish" as he sacrificed his life for the sins of all who believe in him - to bring them into right relationship with the Father. Just as the Israelites celebrate freedom from their slavery to the Egyptians as they celebrate Passover, Christians celebrate the victory over sin and death signified in Jesus' death and resurrection. Jesus said the new covenant between God and his people was "an agreement confirmed with my blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you." It was no coincidence that Jesus gave up his life for all at the time of Passover. It was the appointed time, chosen by the Father.

What is the real meaning of Easter? In John 1:29, as he sees Jesus approaching, John the Baptist announces to the crowd around him, "Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!"

He knew that Jesus was the son of God, the long awaited Messiah, the one whom God's prophets had promised to save mankind from their sins and to give them a deep heartfelt relationship with God the Father. The new covenant would be an everlasting covenant. (Jeremiah 31:31-34, Jeremiah 32:39-42, Isaiah 55:3) Jesus, our sacrificial lamb, our Savior, our God, our Redeemer - he laid down his life as our sacrificial lamb to pay for our sins. When he rose from the dead three days later, he gave victory over eternal separation from God (death) to all who put their faith and trust in him. That is the new covenant - everlasting life spent with God through faith in all that Jesus Christ has done and continues to do.

Pastor Leanne Matthesius - Legacy Church - You Will Be Rescued!

I just wanted to quickly share this very powerful and inspiring message I watched yesterday by Pastor Leanne Matthesius of Awaken Church in San Diego. She was actually preaching this message as guest speaker at Legacy Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I feel that that her core message on how the church and Christians in general should be emboldened in this time of crisis in our nation.

Check this out:

1 Samual 11

Saul Rescues the City of Jabesh

11 Nahash[a] the Ammonite went up and besieged Jabesh Gilead. And all the men of Jabesh said to him, “Make a treaty with us, and we will be subject to you.”

2 But Nahash the Ammonite replied, “I will make a treaty with you only on the condition that I gouge out the right eye of every one of you and so bring disgrace on all Israel.”

3 The elders of Jabesh said to him, “Give us seven days so we can send messengers throughout Israel; if no one comes to rescue us, we will surrender to you.”

4 When the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul and reported these terms to the people, they all wept aloud. 5 Just then Saul was returning from the fields, behind his oxen, and he asked, “What is wrong with everyone? Why are they weeping?” Then they repeated to him what the men of Jabesh had said.

6 When Saul heard their words, the Spirit of God came powerfully upon him, and he burned with anger. 7 He took a pair of oxen, cut them into pieces, and sent the pieces by messengers throughout Israel, proclaiming, “This is what will be done to the oxen of anyone who does not follow Saul and Samuel.” Then the terror of the Lord fell on the people, and they came out together as one. 8 When Saul mustered them at Bezek, the men of Israel numbered three hundred thousand and those of Judah thirty thousand.

9 They told the messengers who had come, “Say to the men of Jabesh Gilead, ‘By the time the sun is hot tomorrow, you will be rescued.’” When the messengers went and reported this to the men of Jabesh, they were elated. 10 They said to the Ammonites, “Tomorrow we will surrender to you, and you can do to us whatever you like.”

11 The next day Saul separated his men into three divisions; during the last watch of the night they broke into the camp of the Ammonites and slaughtered them until the heat of the day. Those who survived were scattered, so that no two of them were left together.

Joseph And His Amazing Transcontinental Dreamcoat

Sunset Over Los Angeles, CA by Ken Hulsey

I intended to post this message on Sunday morning before church, but something told me not to. All week I had been listening to sermons from different pastors from different parts of the country. I was amazed that there was a common theme in just about every single message, the story of Joseph from the Old Testament. I felt it was important to share those sermons simply on the amazing fact that, like I mentioned, there were pastors from all over the country preaching about Joseph. It was obvious that God was speaking this message directly to me and I knew that there had to be others that would be blessed by hearing it.

I would soon learn why God told me to put this post on hold.

Imagine my surprise when the message by our pastor, James Greer (Journey Church in Pineville, LA) was on the life of Joseph.

I don't know if Pastor Greer noticed my response to his message, but my eyes bugged out and my jaw dropped. Something truly amazing was going on!

Let's follow the trail shall we:

How to Survive Until You Thrive - Pastor James Greer at Journey Church in Pineville, LA - August 1, 2021

Everyone has dreams and aspirations. However, everyone you encounter will not share or support your dreams. There will be trials and tests. You have to persevere. This is part of the process. You must remember, God is with you. He will promote and lead you into a prosperous future.

Now check this out.

Five days earlier Pastor Steve Smothermon of Legacy Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico delivered this sermon, though not on Joseph, which echoed the same theme as what Pastor James preached on. If you pay attention you will note that both pastors use much of the exact same verbiage in both sermons.

Grow Through Difficulties - Pastor Steve Smothermon at Legacy Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico - July 28, 2021

The day prior Pastor Leanne Matthesius of Awaken Church in San Diego preached a message on (you guessed it) Joseph.

The Choices of Champions - Pastor Leanne Matthesius at Awaken Church in San Diego, CA - July 27, 2021.

This power-packed message by Ps. Leanne is a must-listen as she uses the movie "Rocky Balboa" to illustrate the importance of the choices that we make, and the fruit that results from making the choice of champions!

Earlier in the month Pastor John Martin of Victorville First Assembly of God (The church that Terri and I attended in Cali) preached this sermon that both mentioned Joseph and touched on themes that resonated in the three prior sermons.

You can't watch it here but I encourage you to go and watch it on YouTube!

Decisions, Decisions ... Part 2 - Pastor John Martin at Victorville First Assembly of God in Victorville, CA - July 18, 2021

I  hope that you are able to make time to watch or listen to each of these sermons and understand just how God is spreading His message by inspiring pastors all over our great country to preach almost identical messages in unique and different styles intended to reach different people in different places.

Time to Dream | How to Survive Until You Thrive
Understand the process.

If you don’t understand the process, the disappointments will defeat you instead of develop you. The greater the dream, the greater the process and pain. The greater the dream, the greater the development. How we develop will greatly determine our destiny. God has a predetermined destiny that is greater than you can understand or imagine. (Ephesians 3:20, NKJV; John 14:12-14, NKJV; Ephesians 2:10, NKJV, AMPC) As you learn to survive during the times of being processed or developed, that in turn, will allow you to endure until you thrive.
Joseph learned to survive until he thrived.
(Genesis 37:18-19, NKJV)

If you have big dreams, be very careful who you share them with and when. The greater the dream, the greater the development.

The longer it takes you to develop, the longer you have to go through the process or test. God gives every one of us great dreams.

God created you in His image and gives each of us creative sides to dream. Time and pressure often squeeze the dream out of us. If you will learn the process, live out the process and not give up on the process, you will be promoted and used by God.
Joseph’s process to promotion.

At a young age, he had dreams. (Genesis 37:5-9, NKJV) He had total devastation. (Genesis 37:18-20, 23-28, NKJV) Total devastation should lead to total dependence on God. Total dependence on God leads to the right process in developing us to be used by God. When we don’t know or learn the process, it leads to defeat instead of development. When we don’t allow disappointments to develop us, we will continue to go through the disappointments and live a defeated life.

He began to prosper and dream again. (Genesis 39:2, NLT2) He went through another great disappointment or devastation. (Genesis 39:6-21, NLT2) The Lord can be with you in prison or the palace. Even during the disappointment, Joseph knew God was with him. Joseph knew the difference between being disappointed in a person, but not with God. Learn that even when people disappoint you, God will still be with you.
The process led to lasting promotion.
(Genesis 41:1, 5, 24-27, 38-40, NLT2)

Joseph was promoted to the second most powerful person in the land.
The process worked.
(Genesis 50:14-22, NLT2)

You know the development process is working when you can forgive those who have hurt you the most.
